2025 EEC Awards

Presented by the Energy Efficiency Council, and now in its twelfth year, the 2025 EEC Awards (EECA) are Australia’s highest profile honours dedicated to excellence in energy efficiency, electrification and demand flexibility. The Awards are your annual opportunity to be recognised for your efforts and to celebrate your commitment to smart energy management. We invite individuals and organisations to nominate their projects for one of eight award categories that demonstrate outstanding achievement in performance, leadership and innovation, and celebrate with peers at the EEC National Conference Gala Dinner featuring the 2025 EEC Awards that will take place in Melbourne on 27 May 2025 as part of the EEC National Conference.
There are no fees to nominate your project.
Nominations are now open for the following award categories:
1A - EEC leading energy management government program
1B - EEC leading energy management innovation
1C - EEC leading energy management project: commercial
1D - EEC leading energy management project: industrial
1E - EEC leading energy management project: residential
2A - EEC energy management champion
2B - EEC energy management young champion
3A - EEC inclusion champion

Criteria and Judging
The 2025 EEC Awards seek to recognise excellence in energy management, energy efficiency and demand response across Australia. The judging panel will consider several dimensions when making their decisions, including performance, leadership and innovation. Judging criteria varies between award categories and given the many factors that define 'excellence', the judging panels will have full discretion in their selection of the winning nominations. Judging panel decisions will be final. Please refer to how to nominate a project and terms and conditions of entry for more information about submitting a nomination and the judging process.
Winners of the 2025 EEC Awards will be announced at the EEC National Conference Gala Dinner, 27 May 2025. We strongly encourage all nominees to be present at the event as winners will not be notified in advance.
