On behalf of the Footscray University Town team, I would like to thank you for entering the Picturing Footscray Photography Prize and Exhibition.
We have received a total of 328 entries this year, which is amazing. I would just like to take the time to remind you of some key dates and important information.
There is no shortlisting process for this Photography Prize. ALL photographs that you have submitted will be displayed in the Picturing Footscray Exhibition. Please see below details for artwork delivery.
PHOTOGRAPH DELIVERY:
Photographs can now be delivered to VU at MetroWest – 138 Nicholson Street, Footscray. We will be accepting artwork delivery until Friday 11 August. Delivery times are as follows:
Tuesday 8 August – until 7:00pm
Wednesday 9 August – 9:00am – 5:00pm
Thursday 10 August – 9:00am – 7:00pm
Friday 11 August – 9:00am – 5:00pm
If delivery is made after this date, we cannot guarantee it will be exhibited. If there are any issues around delivery please feel free to contact me to discuss.
EXHIBITION LAUNCH:
The Exhibition Launch and Prize Announcements for Picturing Footscray is on Thursday 17 August 2017 at 6:00pm at VU at MetroWest. Please bring along friends and family.
For catering purposes, please advise us of your attendance by registering HERE.
JUDGING / PEOPLE’S CHOICE AWARD:
Judging of the entries will take place on Thursday 17 August 2017. The winners of 1st, 2nd & 3rd prize will be announced that evening at the Exhibition Launch.
Peoples’ Choice Award will be judged by “Facebook Likes” through an Album on the VU in the Community Facebook page.Voting for the People’s Choice will be open from Friday 18 August 2017 and will close on Friday 15 September 2017. The winner of the People’s Choice award will be contacted directly via telephone on Monday 18 September 2017.
For ‘bonus” Facebook Likes on your work tell your family & friends to visit the Exhibition at VU at MetroWest. Further details will be announced at the Exhibition Opening.
SOCIAL MEDIA:
We encourage you to share your artwork with family, friends, and colleagues using our VU in the Community Facebook page.
