Enter the Texture Style Awards 2023!

Introducing the industry's 1st ever beauty competition for student and professional stylists that showcases and celebrates hair diversity and technique mastery across all four textures of hair: straight, wavy, curly and coily.

Texture Style Awards encourages submissions across all hair texture categories and wants stylists to not only showcase their individuality and mastery, but to show us the beauty, versatility, possibilities of each hair-type.

Texture Style Awards submissions will be reviewed by an esteemed panel of expert judges from across the beauty industry, including celebrity hairstylists, editorial hairstylists, top bridal artists, respected salon owners, and professional hairstyling influencers.

Enter the Texture Style Awards from March 1, 2023 through July 9, 2023 at 11:59PM EST.

Before entering, please make sure you’ve read and understand the official rules and requirements for each of the 10 hair categories: straight, wavy, curly, and coily. Click here to review.

Your Images:

To enter, you will need to submit one final image PLUS a behind-the-scenes image of you at work. You may enter up to 3 times in each category.

Images must be:

8x10 inches portrait size, 300 DPI
Files must be uploaded in .jpg, or .png format
Clean (solid non/distracting) and non-clutter background, preferably a solid color
Each applicant must submit their photo of their hairstyle on a clean (solid non/distracting) background within the submission window via the submissions website.
The final hairstyle needs to reflect one of the 4 textures: straight, wavy, curly, coily.

Professional Stylist Entry Fees:

$30 per single submission
$100 for 4 submissions

Student Stylist Entry Fees:

$20 per single submission in one category
$30 for 1 submission in both student categories
